Coffee Meetings

This past Saturday the girls from our team decided to gather for a catch up session. A more relaxed approach to getting our thoughts together. We picked a cozy local coffee shop for a quick meeting. It's great to see everyone buzz off each others energy and ideas. There's 5 of us  all together, and you can imagine our excitement when discussing projects. Most of the girls are camera shy, so we'll figure out a way to introduce them in a creative manner (challenge accepted!).

I've started sharing some of my goals of how to improve our photography service. Trying to make it more efficient, and reduce our businesses waste. If you're not following me on Instagram then you might want to follow my zero waste journey with the hashtag #zerowastelibya. Basically I've been reducing the amount of trash we throw away for a cleaner, happier life! So far it's been very satisfying. It's the small things, like asking for our hot drinks to be given in mugs, instead of disposable coffee cups. Am I the only one who thinks it's silly to get excited by your name being written on a paper cup?

I'm sure you've noticed this blog hasn't really shown much of life in Libya. Camera's are only slowly starting to be accepted outdoors for security reasons. I have been stopped a few times by skeptical police men, and just shop owners in general. I'm not really sure how to find a way around this, so suggestions are welcome! It's still exciting to know that things can change, even if it's in our own mini worlds. It's been a real treat, working with such creative minds, allowing me to be more positive about the future.
